Earlier this month, Stuart Noland and Chris Esterhuysen from Nolands Capital, together with Graeme Saggers and Evan Schutte from Nolands Tax, attended the GGI World Conference in Tokyo, Japan.
The team eagerly reconnected with familiar faces from the GGI family while meeting new ones during thought-provoking practice group discussions, including the International Tax session and the GCG M&A Dealmakers Meeting.
A standout moment was when our very own Graeme Saggers, Vice Chair of the EMEA region for the International Tax Practice Group, chaired an insightful panel discussion on the nuances of various jurisdictions' holding company regimes. The panel featured esteemed experts from the USA, UK, Netherlands, and Australia, delivering a truly global perspective on this important topic.
This conference provided the perfect platform to network, exchange best practices, and strengthen global relationships. And of course, the team embraced Tokyo’s incredible culture and cuisine along the way! 🍣

This inspiring initiative empowers disadvantaged youth with the skills, discipline, and confidence that is synonymous with sailing.
The Cape2Rio Race, departing on 27 December 2025, is a shining example of what these young sailors can accomplish with the right support and preparation. The launch event was a great success, uniting passionate individuals ready to make a lasting impact.

While the seminar discussions were incredibly insightful, the Congress offered more than just technical sessions. Attendees explored the vibrant city of Cape Town, immersing themselves in its rich culture and heritage.
From a private evening at the Zeitz MOCAA Museum to a magical outdoor concert by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at Kirstenbosch Gardens, and an electrifying performance by the Ndlovu Youth Choir during the grand South African Celebration — the event was truly one for the books!
A special highlight for our team was meeting SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter at the South African Celebration.
