Unless you formally change your residency status, SARS may still view you as a South African tax resident — meaning your worldwide income could remain taxable. Understanding how SARS applies the “ordinarily resident” and “physical presence” tests is key to avoiding unexpected tax bills and double taxation.

LinkedIn50 Years of Nolands💙
On Monday, every Nolands office nationally and internationally came together to celebrate our 50th birthday. Each office hosted its own birthday celebration, complete with decorative cakes, balloons and shared moments of reflection.
As a nostalgic nod to 1976, every team member received a branded yo-yo and a bag of marbles — a tribute to the trends of the time and the memories shared by our Founder, Clive Noland.
The yo-yo takes us back to Clive’s childhood days of Coca-Cola-sponsored competitions.
The marbles are a reminder of high-stakes games of “keepsies”, where winning meant you kept what was on the line — a playful lesson in courage, skill and a little healthy competition.
Fifty years later, that same spirit of passion, perseverance and people-first values continues to define us.
Here’s a glimpse of how our teams across the Nolands offices commemorated this milestone together. ✨

InstagramCelebrating 50 Years of Vision, Hard Work and Heart 💙
When Nolands first began, George and Clive Noland had a simple goal: to make a difference and to be extraordinary. Two brothers from humble beginnings — one the strategist and the other the relationship-builder — united by a belief in putting people first and building lasting relationships.
That philosophy became the foundation of our culture and values here at Nolands.

FacebookNolands was proud to sponsor the UCT golf team at the annual USSA Golf Tournament, hosted at the Humewood Golf Club in Gqeberha earlier this December.
Taking on 14 universities across both stroke play and match play formats, the UCT team delivered steady, consistent performances to secure an 8th place in both divisions. It was no easy feat, especially with the relentless coastal winds keeping everyone on their toes! ⛳🏌️♂️
Thank you to the event organisers for a tee-rific tournament, and to all the golfers who brought their A-game and sportsmanship.
