InstagramAs the grand finale to yet another successful conference, a Mediterranean-style dinner was held at the exquisite Zoli Mamzel restaurant on the resort. The dress code for the evening was “white with a splash of blue”, to which all delegates arrived in their best island attire.
Adding to the evening’s festivities, a mesmerising duo of a violinist and DJ serenaded the guests upon their arrival. The dinner marked the conclusion of yet another memorable conference.

LinkedInDuring the week of the 20th-23rd of September, Nolands hosted its 13th Annual Conference at the luxurious Le Meridien Ile Maurice Hotel on the tropical paradise Island of Mauritius. With the theme "Think Tomorrow, Today", this year's conference attracted international and national Directors and Managers from Nolands offices and Relationship Companies, creating an invaluable opportunity for collaboration.
Delegates enjoyed a series of productive days, featuring enlightening sessions on tax, audit, advisory, and law, all building up to the eagerly anticipated Conference Day.

InstagramOn Monday, Nolands had the honour of returning to the IIE Varsity College campus at the Quadrant in Newlands, for the second consecutive year. Our Cape Town audit staff delivered a captivating presentation discussion titled “A Day in the Life of an Audit Clerk”, to all current accounting students during lunchtime.
But it didn't stop there! Our audit staff also shared their professional journeys from first year trainees to accomplished audit supervisors, painting a vivid picture of life at Nolands. Moreover, discussions regarding the benefits of being a part of a medium-sized firm where highlighted, which allowed the students to pose further questions about Nolands and the auditing industry.
Wrapping up on a flavourful note, Nolands treated the students to delicious pizza and refreshments. A perfect blend of knowledge and taste!

FacebookThe Tshepang Sports Day initiative, hosted by the Johannesburg Article Clerk Association (JACASS), made a triumphant return for its second year, in honour of Women's Month.
The event brought together 600 children from Tembisa and nearby areas, treating them to a day of soccer, skipping, running, netball, hula hoops, face painting, and musical chairs.
The JACASS committee ensured the young athletes stayed energised and hydrated with a nutrition table in between their sporting activities, and ended the day with a delightful lunch and party pack for each child.
Nolands takes immense pride in being part of these charitable efforts by JACASS, and we're grateful to our Nolands Johannesburg article clerks for volunteering their time to making this initiative a success!

For Mandela Day this year, Nolands Johannesburg returned to Fred and Marties Soup Kitchen to spend their 67 minutes painting the picket fence which surrounds the soup kitchen’s vegetable garden. The fence was painted in black and orange to resemble the organisation’s colours. Prior to the day, a fun raffle was set up in the Nolands Johannesburg office to raise money for Fred and Marties Soup Kitchen to purchase more paint.

This year, Nolands Cape Town partnered with Ladles of Love, and spent their 67 minutes helping break new world records, for Mandela Day. The Ladles of Love organisation helps people thrive physically, emotionally, spiritually and sustainably, while providing the community with nutritious and wholesome meals.
The Nolands Cape Town office split up to assist the cause by partaking in different activity stations. Depending on the station, staff were required to Make, Craft, Fill, Create, Plant, Pack, Collate and Dispatch items that the Ladles of Love team had set up.
Nolands was honoured to be a part of such an amazing initiative in helping the community.

This year, Nolands Port Elizabeth spent their 67 minutes helping out at the Eastern Cape Horse Care Unit, for Mandela Day. The Eastern Cape Horse Care Unit is an independent company, who specialise in caring for the well-being and dignity of equine animals.
The Nolands Port Elizabeth office helped remove and demolish a roof off an old shed, varnish the new sheds for the horses and donkeys, and ended the day with a delicious boerewors braai for the ECHCU employees and Nolands staff.

This year, Nolands Durban decided to spend their 67 minutes assisting at the Ramakrishna Mzamo home in Verulam, for Mandela Day.
The Ramakrishna Mzamo home specifically caters to the care of children suffering from Cerebral Palsy, a disabling condition which affects body movement and muscle co-ordination.
The Nolands Durban office made a difference by collating toiletries and grocery items which were donated to the home. In addition, the office also collected cash donations which funded the project to create a sustainable vegetable garden for the children’s home. Staff spent the day preparing the garden beds and planting the vegetables, which can, at a later stage, be harvested by the Ramakrishna Mzamo home.

The staff were divided into 5 different teams consisting of 2 lamb pots, 2 chicken pots and 1 vegetarian pot. 🍖🐔🥦 It was a true test of culinary skills as they sliced, diced, and tasted their way to glory, all in pursuit of being crowned the champions of the day. But that’s not all! Some of our auditing staff members surprised us with their hidden artistic talents, painting vibrant marketing boards to showcase their mouth-watering creations.

InstagramOver the past weekend, Clive Noland, CEO of Nolands SA, had the honour of supporting his dear friend, Charles Arton, at the Simola Hillclimb Classic Car Friday event in Knysna.
This was a significant race for Charles, as his renewed race car, rebuilt from the ashes, blazed through the tracks. After not being able to race for 6-years due to a devastating transporter fire in 2017, Charles amazed us all by securing an impressive time of 44.7 seconds in the final race, surpassing his winning time in 2015.
Congratulations to Charles and his new oiled machine for earning 3rd place overall and winning the prestigious Dave Charlton Trophy for the 2023 Spirit of the Simola Hillclimb!

InstagramOn Sunday, the 7th of May, Nolands Cape Town participated in a charity soccer and netball event organised by U 4 Us, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and animals in need.
The Nolands team stepped out onto the field and court with great anticipation, but were pleasantly surprised by the intense level of competition and strategies from the opposing teams. Despite the unexpected challenge, we embraced the spirit of the event and quickly adapted to the competitive atmosphere by showcasing excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the matches.
The most important outcome is that Nolands was able to contribute to the U 4 Us organisation’s mission in raising both funds and awareness to support those in need.

Staff who attended, were split up into different colour teams and put to the test in answering company-related and general knowledge questions. Food, snacks and drinks were arranged for all, to ensure that our participants were properly fuelled to stretch their brains in answering the questions.
