Graeme has been with Nolands since 2011. He joined as an Audit Manager, and after earning his M.Com in South African tax (distinction) from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2015, he spearheaded the growth of our Tax Consulting offering. Graeme – who is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor – specialises in local and offshore trusts, family businesses and tax-efficient transactions. He has presented and published on various tax topics, and lectures at UCT, where he contributes to the Tax Honours and SA Tax Masters programmes.

When he’s not hard at work, chances are you’ll find Graeme in the mountains with his two children and loyal dog.

Evan started his career at Ernst and Young where after completing his articles, he became a Manager. Heading up the tax function at a large Australian multinational came next, and in 2022 we were lucky enough to have him join the Nolands ranks. Evan is a qualified Tax Advisor, and he brought with him deep tax knowledge across a number of industries, including banking, retail, aeronautics, and renewable energy. He specialises in tax consulting and compliance, with a focus on corporate tax and the taxation of investments.

In his spare time, Evan enjoys being with family and friends, surfing, golfing, and playing padel.

After completing her Honours degree in Tax at the University of Cape Town, Carla started her SAIT articles at Nolands Tax in 2020. During her first year with us, she developed a keen interest in international tax, and so embarked on a Master’s degree in International Tax at UCT. Today, this qualified Tax Advisor focuses on taxation for individuals. Carla also finds fulfilment in the complexities of cross-border tax matters, and she serves as a member of the Women of IFA Network Committee (South Africa) that advocates for and connects professional women.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Carla loves reading, running, and the culinary arts and can often be found trying out new cooking or baking recipes.

Jessica’s journey into the world of tax began at the University of Cape Town where she did an undergraduate degree in Accounting, followed by a B.Com (Hons) specialising in Taxation. After completing her articles in 2021, Jess joined Nolands Tax. As a qualified Tax Advisor, she focuses on tax compliance and disputes, and also attends to the tax affairs of estates. Jess uses her exceptional problem-solving skills to find solutions for clients’ tax problems.

When Jess isn’t immersed in the world of tax, she enjoys rock-climbing in the Cederberg Rocklands.

Having completed his B.Com accounting degree at the University of Johannesburg and his B.Com (Hons) in Tax (distinction) at the University of Pretoria, there’s no stopping JJ. He’s in the final stages of his articles and aims to become a member of the South African Institute of Tax Professionals in the near future. With his strong academic background, passion for corporate tax and group restructures, JJ brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. He also has a keen interest in optimising tax strategies and navigating complex restructuring processes.

JJ is passionate about marathon running, hiking, and living a balanced and active lifestyle.

Oratile holds a B.Com (Hons) in Tax from the University of Cape Town, where she earned a distinction for her research project. Oratile is determined to become a qualified Tax Advisor and with her technical knowledge, determination, and commitment to learning, is well on her way. Whether analysing complex tax regulations or advising clients, Oratile approaches her work with precision and enthusiasm.

Beyond her professional life, Oratile enjoys gardening, leisurely walks, local markets, food, and outdoor experiences.

Rodrick’s goal is to become a professional member of the South African Institute of Tax Professionals. He has a B.Com (Hons) in Tax from the University of Cape Town where he earned a distinction for his research project. He has also successfully completed the Tax Advisor programme, with a strong focus on compliance, tax controversy, and advisory work. Rodrick is well-equipped with technical knowledge and has the fundamental research, writing and computational skills that would be expected of a proficient tax professional.

When not crunching numbers, he’s likely to be enjoying the great outdoors, or playing rugby, handball, or soccer.

With a B.com (Hons) in Tax from the University of Cape Town and a B.com Law from the University of Pretoria, Goitse is dedicated to becoming a Tax Advisor South Africa. She’s passionate about the intricate relationship between tax and other law fields and as such, is determined to complete her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. She believes this will expand her knowledge of the legal framework and its nexus to taxation, which will ultimately enable her to give clients well-rounded solutions.

When not working or studying, Goitse enjoys taking pictures of nature, listening to music and jogging.

Zahraa completed her undergraduate degree in Financial Accounting at the University of Western Cape. It didn’t take her long to discover her passion for the world of tax. So, she completed a B.Com (Hons) specialising in Taxation at the University of Cape Town and is currently completing her M.Com specialising in South African Taxation at the University of Cape Town. Zahraa joined Nolands Tax as a SAIT tax trainee and her goal is to qualify as a Tax Advisor (SA). With her sound technical knowledge, research and writing skills and the way in which she assists her clients with complex tax problems, there’s no doubt Zahraa will succeed.

In her spare time, Zahraa loves trying out new foods, spending time outdoors and catching up with friends and family.
