Stuart is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Cape Town, and an MBA from the University of Oxford. After completing his articles with KPMG, Stuart went on to work as a Practice Manager for the company in London, and then spent three years at Bain Africa as a strategy consultant working on projects spanning 10 African countries. Today, Stuart heads up the Nolands Capital team where he is passionate about building relationships with clients in order to deliver innovative, robust, and fit-for-purpose solutions. Stuart specialises in corporate finance and corporate advisory, and he sits on the board as a non-executive director of many businesses that provide advisory services. Outside of work Stuart enjoys spending time around a table with friends and family or attending major sporting events around the world.

Chris joined Nolands as an Audit Manager before transferring to the transaction advisory team. He specialises in corporate finance with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and transactional services. He brings to this a wealth of experience in domestic and cross-border transactions across multiple sectors. Chris has dual Honours in Strategy and Accounting and completed the Advanced Corporate Finance course at Colombia Business School. He is currently doing his Master’s degree in Finance at the Edinburgh Business School.

When he’s not hard at it, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys cycling, fly fishing and playing touch rugby.

Michael’s ‘super power’ is his ability to extract meaningful trends and growth trajectories from data, which enables him to provide clients with valuable insights. He’s committed to understanding clients’ viewpoints and working with them to provide creative and tailored solutions. He specialises in transactional advisory services, focusing on financial modelling, due diligence and valuations across a variety of industries. In addition to his numerous qualifications, Michael is about to start a Master’s in Finance.

When work’s not keeping him busy, Michael enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures and going on hiking and outdoor adventures.

With a background in audit, Tanner’s journey at Nolands began with his articles. During this time, he balanced full-time work and study, showcasing his exceptional work ethic and determination. At Nolands Capital, Tanner is committed to excellence, thrives on collaboration and strategic insight, and is driven by a desire to contribute to transactional success, assisting clients, innovation and making South Africa a better place.

Hard work and making a meaningful difference aside, Tanner is an active individual who spends his free time training for triathlons, going mountain biking, fishing or being in the bush.

Shaylin started his journey at Nolands Capital as an intern and has since worked his way up in the company, gaining valuable knowledge and experience across multiple industries along the way. He specialises in corporate finance with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and transactional services. Shaylin is passionate about others – both within and outside of Nolands – and often collaborates with the Nolands Foundation to get involved in social outreach programmes. He’s also working towards a Master’s in Finance.

Shaylin is an avid Manchester United and sports fan. If he’s not playing volleyball, soccer, or golf, chances are good he’s watching it!

Tash joined our team in January 2024 and works under the guidance of a specialised senior team focusing on transactional services, valuations and due diligence. Tash has a knack for financial analysis and research, and as such gives clients’ valuable insights that help inform decisions. She was chosen for the Honours programme as one of the top five achievers in her undergraduate degree. Dedicated to continuous learning and growth in the corporate finance field, Tash is now pursuing a Master’s in Finance.

Having played hockey and volleyball at national level in earlier years, Tash balances her professional life with her love of sport

Mathew is excited to tackle complex financial transactions and to promote sustainable growth in Africa to unlock the continent’s full potential. He’s eager to serve as a catalyst for change and to provide tailor-made financial solutions that businesses need to drive growth and innovation in our country and continent. He believes that businesses need a financial lens through which they can see their ideas come to life, and that they should have a team of advisors who are prepared to be with them every step of the way.

Mathew is a passionate Manchester Uniter supporter and sports fanatic. He especially enjoys games of five-aside soccer, and padel.

With his extensive experience across management accounting, audit, and transaction services, Grant is hugely versatile and is a great asset to our team. He has his sights set high and is committed to becoming a chartered accountant.

In the meantime, Grant thrives on learning from others and sharing his viewpoints. Whether it’s at work or at play, he’s dedicated to his personal and professional development.

Grant is an avid cyclist and his passion for this sport sees him competing at top levels, both on- and off-road.

We welcomed Hannah to our team in February 2025. She’s hungry for knowledge and experience and is excited to get to grips with high-stakes financial transactions. Hannah is also driven by her desire to develop a deeper understanding of financial markets, business strategy, and complex deal structures.

Beyond her professional ambitions, Hannah is passionate about the outdoors. She can often be found running, hiking, or spending time with friends on the beach. Hanna is an avid animal lover and never misses the chance to stop and say hello to every dog she meets on the Cape Town promenade.
